Alyssa & Hector’s Interlocking Seasons Quilt

I have a lot of photos of this quilt, probably because it took me way longer than any other quilt I’ve worked on. The pattern is a stunning original by the Parfait Cafe that has a detailed tutorial. Each square has 62 pieces to it – some of which are as small as 1.25×1.25inches. Every square took me about an hour, once I  had the hang of it.

When I finished the first square, I was thrilled:Interlocking Seasons by Pieced Together

16 squares in I had the hang of it:

But for the king-size quilt that my friends needed, I made 30 squares… and by that time I was exhausted:Interlocking Seasons by Pieced Together

Ready to be pinned and quilted:

I quilted it with a shadow of the same pattern in the white spaces between the knots, which turned out well:

All that being said, it ended up beautifully – so well worth the effort. Just one of those quilts that taxes you!

  1. Gorgeous!!! Any chance you remember how much fabric you went through? I’m looking to make a Queen from this pattern and while I’ve found all the tutorials I can’t find amounts ANYWHERE…
