My father has had an amazing career, with a few transformational points – one of which was working with manager who clearly inspired him, challenged his intellect, fostered his strengths and encouraged him to look at each issue in a new light. Exactly what we all hope for in a manager, and so rarely find. So when retirement came, he asked me to create a quilt for herĀ in gratitude. And here it is…

(I have to admit that for the first time since I really started quilting, I paid for someone to quilt this for me – the king size free motion on my short arm machine just seemed too daunting. And it was worth it – she did a beautiful job!)
