My obsession with Kaffe Fasset’s Shot Cottons may never subside. One of my favorite things about them is how well they lend themselves to transparencies. Something about the depth of the fabric allows them to pair well.
For Sylvia’s baby quilt I chose to lean into that love with Wayward Transparency pattern. I loved the strength in this pattern, the movement and the subtle asymmetry.
Quilting Jetgirl’s quilt-along was easy to follow and fun, and gave you a few options on how to pull the quilt together (I hemmed and hawed about which one to go with for far too long).
I quilted it in rippled diamonds at random intervals, to lean into the outward movement of the pattern.
